A well-documented contribution can change what we know. Share a photograph, a paper, an observation or a correction. Every contribution begins with a source and a conversation.

Before you contribute

Keep the evidence
with the story.

Include the country or region, relevant dates, original source, creator’s name and the rights holder’s permission. Be explicit about uncertain identification.

Do not handle or disturb a snake for a record. Keep sensitive locality details and personal information out of the draft; mention that they are available privately if needed.

Submissions are reviewed by the project editor. Material is published only after its evidence, credit and usage rights have been checked. Sending a photograph does not automatically license its use.
